Michael John Shrontz, 64, passed away June 7, 2016.
What can possibly be said in a few words about a man that have touched the lives and hearts of people on an international level, that would not require the writing of a book? Michael lived his life based on a few principles that served him well during his lifetime, and benefited all those who came in contact with him. “Take care of today and tomorrow will take care of its self”; be honest; be kind; have faith; be respectful; and above all, family is first, were the principles that guided his life. Those who knew him also benefited from his great sense of humor, his appreciation for life and his love of music.
Michael never met a stranger, although some he chose to only meet once. He spent most of his career in sales, marketing and branding, from small family businesses to Fortune 500 companies. His career in the United States Air Force was brief compared to some, but even there he made a difference. Being stationed in Taipei in the 70’s, Michael understood and appreciated the American freedom of choice, and never took it for granted again.
Michael’s life philosophies and faith made him into the great man that so many people will miss. He was a kind, funny, caring, and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, friend, and mentor. He was our Mr. Perfect.
Loss and change is never easy. We fight to hold on and we fight to let go. Today we will hold on to the happy memories of what Michael’s life was and meant to each and every one of us, and we will let go of our sadness, knowing he is no longer in pain.
Michael is survived and deeply loved by his wife Pia; his children, Amanda (Billy), Timothy (Melody), Joshua (Lisa), George (Rachel), Jennifer (Nic), and Sabrina (Rafino); his sister, Anne (Curtis); his brothers, Edmen (Cindy), and Charles (Fe); his grandchildren, Aria, Jocelyn, Zachary, Cole, Selena, Jennifer, Corran, Reina, Caelen, and Araceli; his nieces, Samantha (Chris), Melissa (Bill), and Mary; his niece, Ainsley; his nephews, Eric, Jake (Kristin), and Stephen; great niece, Madelien; and great nephews, Jacob and Royce.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon, Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, In 46250. A celebration of life service with military rites will take place at noon.
